What can aerobatics do for your company?

When an aerobatic aeroplane bearing your company's name or logo appears at a large event, it has the audience's undivided attention for around six or seven minutes with no interruption. Just as important, there are no other logos jostling for position, as there are during a motor racing event for example.

In the UK, attendances at flying displays are currently running second only to those at football matches. The display season is packed with such events and runs from April to October each year; with larger events easily attracting in excess of 75,000 spectators. At smaller events your aircraft could even be the highlight of the day, attracting considerable media interest. The coverage varies from the general, which consists of national and local radio, television and newspapers, to the specific, associated with you or the event itself. Below are some typical circulation levels of the UK's leading aviation magazines which take a keen interest in the display scene and it's participants.

Pilot Magazine
40,000 copies per month
Flyer Magazine
25,000 copies per month
Aircraft Illustrated
41,000 copies per month

An aerobatic display is obviously something out of the ordinary. It is a spectacular means of combining function and aesthetics, demonstrating that accuracy, precision, control and reliability can be forged to a spirit of creativity and romance: in this case, the romance of flight.

G-EWIZ is a single seat Pitts Special powered by a 260hp Lycoming engine and is built for spectacular unlimited aerobatics. This aircraft is the larger S2S variant, of which there are only two in the UK out of a total of 30 worldwide: it has an enormous stage presence. A display incorporating smoke can be tailored to suit varying weather conditions on the day and would usually last up to seven minutes.

During the 2002 season Steve will be competing nationally at advanced level and displaying unlimited aerobatics down to 200ft. He has over 6000 hours of flying experience and is a captain in the training department of British Midland Commuter.
As you can imagine the 2004 display season will already be the concern of some event organisers as their proposed display programmes will near completion by the spring. If you would like to discuss sponsorship possibilities or would like G-EWIZ to feature at some events, then please contact Steve at gewiz@stevecarver.f9.co.uk.
